My adventure today started out with rain. I was standing in the bathroom getting ready to go to school, very prepared to hop on my bike and take in the morning sights, when I heard what sounded like cars driving through large puddles. I hoped for a second that maybe it was someone in the apartment above us turning the water on and off, but alas, I opened the curtains covering the sliding glass door a moment later and the direction of my morning was confirmed by a nice sheet of rain. So, I switched gears in my head and prepared to stand outside in the rain at the bus stop instead. :P Thankfully, it stopped raining right before I went out to stand at the bus stop, so I stayed pretty dry! It was quite cool though, and I thoroughly enjoyed the wearing of my jacket. :D Of course, by the time I got out of class the sun was shining brilliantly and I was wishing for my bike, but I was so proud of myself for navigating the bus system all by myself! I definitely felt quite a sense of accomplishment when I got home without getting lost! :P

When I got out of class I was greeted by the sun and this…

Always love the skyline. :) It took almost 2 blocks on my way to the bus stop to sort this out…

Then I sat here…

And wondered about how healthy this lady really is with her yoga mat over her shoulder and her cigarette in hand. So glad I quit, but man it does get hard sometimes. I’m thinking maybe she justifies the smoking with yoga….?

And last but not least, thanks to the cool weather, I got to wear my fake chucks today, which is a pleasure. :)

Yay for cooler weather! Hopefully it will become an every day thing in the coming weeks. I’m so so so ready for fall. I bet you are too…

I enjoyed the 2 new teachers I met today. One of them is your definitely typical English nerd. But his class, the art and craft of writing, seems like it’s going to be lots of fun. I’ll be doing loads of writing this semester, but I guess that’s to be expected when one is an English major with a concentration in writing…

Anyhow, Hannah and I took the dogs for a walk when I got home and it was glorious. We walked on a different street that I’ve never walked down before and the houses and gardens were so¬†elaborate! It was fabulous. I love gardens. Have I mentioned that. Flowers, green things, growth. I just love gardens, and, lucky for me, there are about a million gardens, flower beds, flower pots, window boxes, and everything flowery pretty and growth-y in Denver and in Colorado in general. :D This makes me feel very thankful, and so I’ll end today with that. I am so thankful for so many things!

More adventures to be had tomorrow I’m sure…!
